Joan Louise Jacobs

Joan Louise Jacobs, 90, passed away February 1, 2022, at The Highlands at Wyomissing.

Born in Boyertown, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Pearl (Fryer) Jacobs.

She was a graduate of Pottstown High School in 1949; West Chester University in 1953 and Penn State University in 1965 where she earned a master's degree in education.

Joan was employed by the Reading School District for 37 years as a teacher, retiring on June 15, 1990.

She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Shillington.

Joan is survived by her brother, John O. Jacobs, Harrisburg and her good friend Gloria Miller, Wyomissing.

A memorial service will be held Monday, February 7, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be private.
