Joan Lana Wolf

Joan Lana (Scheck) Wolf, 84, formerly of Spring Township, passed away July 31, 2024, at Keystone Villa at Douglassville.

Her husband, Francis X. Wolf, Jr., died on January 27, 2012.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Jessie Edward and Minnie (Martin) Scheck.

She was a 1958 graduate of Reading High School and St. Joseph's Nursing School.

Joan was employed by St. Joseph Hospital as a Practical Nurse.

Family and faith were important to Joan. She was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

She enjoyed audible books, her Facebook friends, listening to music and attending Alvernia University basketball games. Thank you to the Advent Hospice Care Team and Keystone Douglassville for their care.

Joan is survived by two daughters, Brenda, wife of Pedro "Bob" Rivera, Muhlenberg Township, and Wendy L. Van Etten, Allentown, PA. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Nicholas (Jennifer), Nathaniel, Gabrielle (Jordan), Matthew and Michael (Arielle); and five great-grandchildren: Anastasia Rivera, Rita Rivera, Thora Rivera, Journey Merriweather and Aiden Rivera; her, brother Edward J. Scheck Jr. (Rebecca), Delaware; one niece and one nephew.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Wolf.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery with burial to follow.
