Joan E. Komlodi

Joan E. Komlodi, 88, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Albert Komlodi, who passed in 2022. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Anna (Chuhran) Spangler. Joan graduated Reading High School. She devoted herself to being a wife and mother of three.

Joan is survived by son, Kerry L., Muhlenberg Twp., daughter Karol Sowers, Shoemakersville, two granddaughters, Stacy A. Sowers and Leah Komlodi Rybin (Joshua), great granddaughter, Estelle Rybin, and sister, Nancy Sorber of Parksburg, PA. She was predeceased by a son, T. Sgt. Keith A. Komlodi.

A visitation with family and friends will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Chapel at Laureldale Cemetery, 4531 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA 19605. Service and burial to follow visitation.
