Joan Phyllis Itin

Joan P. Itin passed away on November 17, 2018 at the Highlands in Wyomissing, after a long illness.

Joan was born in Barberton, Ohio in 1930 to Hazel and Carl Milford and she grew up in Rittman, Ohio. After graduation from Rittman High School she attended Kent State University, where she obtained a BA in elementary education. She was Miss Rittman for that town's centennial celebration and was later named Miss Kent State University while in college.

Joan taught elementary school in Rocky River and Rittman, Ohio. In addition to raising her children she was active in her Church and Community Service Organizations.

She was the beloved wife of James R. Itin. She is also survived by daughter Mary Beth Kors (Robert), of Pacific Palisades, CA, and son Robert G. Itin (Mary Garrett), of Berwyn, PA, as well as grandchildren Annie, Matthew, Laura and Grant. She was predeceased by her son James M. Itin.

Joan was a long time member and Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Reading, PA, where a Memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 37 S Fifth St, Reading Pa 19602 on January 5th 2019 at 10 am.
