Joan M. Dennis

Joan M. Dennis, 92, of Wyomissing, passed away on September 7, 2025.

She was the widow of Harry M. Dennis; they shared 53 wonderful years together.

Born in Port Carbon, Joan was the daughter of the late Anna (Stanus) and John Balulis.

She graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing and was a registered nurse.

Joan and Harry were founders of DeLuxe Window & Door in West Lawn, where she was also Treasurer.

A very devoted wife, mother and grandmother, spending time with and taking care of her family always came first in her life. She was very actively involved in all of her children's and grandchildren's activities, from telling stories at school, and being a scout leader, to following all of their academic and sporting events.

Joan was also very talented creatively, a pianist, and an expert at crocheting and cooking feasts for her family; and no one could top Mom-Mom's delicious homemade apple pies, peach dumplings and spectacular spaghetti sauce and meatballs!

An avid reader and a big Phillies and Eagles fan, she enjoyed traveling and family vacations, and always being there when you needed her. She was extremely proud of her husband, Harry, children, and grandchildren.

Joan was the mother of four children: Diane D. Levan, deceased, (Lee Levan); Harry M. (Tracey) Dennis; Joni A. Dennis; and Michael J. (Joelle) Dennis, all of Wyomissing; and six grandchildren: Andrew, John, Chris, Lee, Tom, and Nick. One sister, Janet Eich, Port Carbon also survives her. Joan was a beautiful person, inside and out, and will be greatly missed.

A prayer service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
