Joan M. Christman

Joan Marie Christman, 79, of Laureldale died December 6, 2010 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.

She was a daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Yeager) Lerch.

Joan was a graduate of Reading High School.

She was employed as a server and bartender at various area restaurants and taverns.

Joan loved going to the Muhlenberg swimming pool every summer.

Surviving is a son, Randall L., husband of Kathy G. (Sobresky) Christman of Laureldale; twin sister, Jean, wife of Merv Dietrich of Muhlenberg Township; two granddaughters, Kelly L. Christman and Michelle Slisher and two great grandchildren.

Joan was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey C. Hoffman February 1, 1980.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
