Joan L. Bonner, 85, of Reading, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 in ManorCare Laureldale.

She was predeceased by her husband, Elom J. Bonner who passed in 2006.

Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose Drosdak.

Joan was a graduate of Coaldale High School.

She worked as a teacher's aide for Panther Valley School District.

Joan is survived by two sons: Jon E., husband of Rachelle Bonner, Hometown, PA; James J., husband of Judith Bonner, Leesport, PA; three siblings: J. Ronald, husband of Mary Drosdak, Allentown, PA ; Robert, husband of Carol Drosdak, Nesquehoning, PA, and Romaine, wife of Sylvester Karnish, Lansford, PA. Two grandchildren: Jaime Teaff, Texas; Lindsey Bonner, Chicago; and four great grandchildren also survive her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C.C., 740 Cherry Street, West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in St. Jerome's Cemetery, Tamaqua. In lieu of flowers, Mass Cards may be obtained through Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at: www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
