Joan Arlene Guldin

Joan Arlene (Tobias) Guldin, 71, formerly of Reading, died September 24, 2013 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.

She was the widow of George Allen Guldin.

Born December 5, 1941 at home in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Philip D. and E. June (Rader) Tobias.

Joan was employed as a packer with Zipf's Candy for a number of years.

She was a member of Calvary United Church of Christ, Reading.

Joan was a member of Goodwill Fire Company Auxiliary and a past member of Northmont Club, Reading.

She volunteered at B'nai B'rith, Reading; enjoyed playing bingo and doing ceramics.

Surviving are her three brothers, Ronald, husband of Margaret Tobias of Muhlenberg Township; Roger, husband of Karen Tobias of Wernersville and John, widower of Arlene Meas of Laureldale.

There are also three nephews, one niece and several great nieces and nephews surviving.

Graveside services, held in Forest Hills Memorial Park, will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, PA 19605.
