Joan A. Koprowski

Joan Ann (DeGreen) Koprowski, 69, of Muhlenberg Township, died October 14, 2007 at 5:55 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she had been a patient since October 2nd.

She was married October 27, 1957 to Wilfrid John Koprowski. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year.

Born in Pottstown, PA., on May 23, 1938, she was a daughter of Ella (Dzeb) DeGreen of West Reading and the late James DeGreen.

She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

Joan is also survived by two sons, Timothy J. husband of Antonia R. (DeWingaerde) Koprowski of Newburgh, New York and Terry M. Koprowski of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include two sisters, Violet wife of Donald Hart of Cumru Township and Betty wife of Howard VanPelt of Robeson Township.

There are also two grandchildren, Bradley and Jessica Koprowski.

She was predeceased by a brother, James DeGreen.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605 with the Msgr. Dennis T. Hartgen celebrating. There will be no public viewing. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church at the above address or the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605. Walter R.
