Jimmy L. Engle

Jimmy Luther Engle, 63, of Shillington, died September 23, 2009 at 10:38 p.m. in the emergency room of St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.

He was the husband of Donna Roberta (Symons) Engle, whom he married May 13, 1997.

Born October 13, 1945 in Shillington, he was a son of Evelyn Arlene (Werner) Brightbill of Gouglersville, and the late Luther Engle. He was also predeceased by his step-father, Harold C. Brightbill.

Jimmy was employed as a truck driver with Maier's Bakery, Reading for 24 years.

He served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War.

Jimmy was an avid motorcycle rider and football fan. He was a terrific step-father.

He is also survived by a step-son, William B. Fick, at home.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
