Jill L. Hertzog, 73, of Lebanon and formerly of Shillington, passed away January 11, 2014, in Good Samaritan Hospital.

Her husband, Ronald M. Hertzog, died August 2, 1995.

Born October 16, 1940, in Reading she was a daughter of the late Ray L. and Vivian G. (Swoyer) Yeager.

She was a 1958 graduate of Reading High School.

Jill was a dietary aide at the Highlands at Wyomissing for 15 years, retiring in 2005.

She was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Reading and Berks Bible Church, Shillington. A believer in angels, she had more than 200 angel figurines in her home.

Jill is survived by her three children: Jeffrey M., husband of Lucy Hertzog, Mohnton; Shawn M. Hertzog, West Wyomissing; and Kemmy R., wife of Scott Rickert, Leesport. Also surviving are her twin sister, Judith A., wife of Richard Bohn, D.D.S., Myerstown; four grandchildren, Brandon Hertzog, Landon Rickert, Claudia Hertzog and Zachary Rickert.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at 5:30 p.m. in Berks Bible Church, 29 E. Lancaster Avenue, Shillington. Burial will be private in Pleasant View Cemetery. Contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
