Jessie R. Gibney

Jessie R. Gibney, 87, of Gaithersburg, MD, died November 2, 2007 in the McLean, VA residence of her son, Matthew J. Gibney, III, M.D.

Her husband, Matthew J. Gibney, Jr. died November 3, 1996.

Born in E. Donegal Twp., she was the daughter of the late David C. and Alice (Mumper) College.

She is also survived by three other sons, John D., James A. and Michael C.; and five daughters, Patricia A. Hebert, Mary Ann Gawelek, Eileen Stamnas, Sally J. Hendon and Maureen Oswald. Twenty-five grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren also survive her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
