Jesse F. Dewald

Jesse F. Dewald, 73 of Shillington died May 14 at 6:37 PM in St. Joseph's Hospital where he had been since May 5.

He was the husband of Blanche B. (Greene) Dewald.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, he was the son of the late Frank F. and Clara J. (Bowen) Dewald.

He was first employed by Luden's Candies, Reading as a candy maker for 16 years. Later he was employed by ARA, Reading as a stocker for 15 years, he was last employed by Baldwin Hardware, Reading as an assembler for 12 years until his retirement in 1997.

Dewald was a graduate of Pottsville High School in 1951.

He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Shillington.

Dewald is also survived by three daughters, Janice M. (Dewald) Myskowski, Curmu Township, Deborah A. (Dewald) Hiester, Shillington and Cynde L. (Dewald) Frankhouser, Denver, Lancaster County. There are also 5 grandchildren and one great grandson.

Services will be Wednesday at 10 AM in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
