Jerrold Alan Frymoyer, 54, of Laureldale, died after a lengthy battle with brain cancer February 21, 2009 in the Reading Hospital while surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Cynthia Ann (Miller) Frymoyer, whom he married September 24, 1977. Born in Reading on September 14, 1954, he was a son of Clayton C. Frymoyer Sr., and Shirley E. (Bennicoff) Frymoyer of Muhlenberg Township. He was a 1972 graduate of Reading High School. Jerry was a member of St. John's (Gernant's) Lutheran Church, where he also served on the Church Council. He was employed 34 years with Baldwin Hardware, Reading, last working in the quality control department in June. Jerry was a member of the Goodwill Beneficial Association and the Pike Township Sportsman's Relief Association. He was an avid sports fan of the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and NASCAR; especially Dale Sr. and Dale Jr. and the Muhlenberg Legion Ball. He played softball for the former 2nd and Oley Softball Team. Jerry is also survived by two daughters: Lindsay Ann Frymoyer, fiancée of Greg Deysher of Laureldale and Kaitlin Ashley Frymoyer of Laureldale. Other survivors include eight siblings: Clayton Jr., husband of Linda Frymoyer of Laureldale; Timothy, husband of Susan Frymoyer of West Lawn; Brian, husband of Donna Frymoyer of West Lawn; Christine Mabry, companion of Gene Bertolet of Oley; Kevin Frymoyer, companion of Cindy Keiser of Hyde Park; Lisa, wife of Peter Sallada of Reading; Lori, wife of David Lausch of Muhlenberg Township and JoAnne, wife of Robert Kleinhagen of Mohnton. Also surviving are a sister-in-law; Lori A. (Miller), wife of Jeffrey Turner of Ontelaunee Township; 7 nieces, 8 nephews, 1 great nephew and 4 great nieces. Jerry is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and loved ones. Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. Harry G. Stetser officiating. Viewings will be held Tuesday 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Wednesday 9:00 - 10:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cynthia A. Frymoyer, 3344 Montrose Ave., Laureldale, PA 19605.
