Jerre R. Gehris

Jerre R. Gehris, 84, passed away on February 28, 2022, at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Baerbel (Rosenkranz) Gehris, with whom he shared 63 wonderful years.

Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Harry M. and Anne R. (Reist) Gehris. He served in the United States Air Force before working for Cartech for 35 years.

Jerre was a member of the Ringgold band, having played trumpet in high school and picking it up again after his retirement.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Juliee Franey, Gregory Gehris, and Douglas Gehris. He is also survived by his siblings, Patricia Greenawald, wife of Henry, Marylee Seesholtz, and James and Ken Gehris and his sister-in-law Susan Gehris, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jerre was predeceased by his brother, Ned Gehris.

The funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
