Jerilyn "Jeri" Anne Hill (Mench)

On the morning of Sunday, March 14, 2004, in Good Samaritan Hospital, West Palm Beach, FL, where she had been for the past 22 days. Jeri Hill, age 46, of 10294 158th Street North, Jupiter, Florida 33478, passed away following a courageous battle against breast cancer. Born in Reading, PA, the daughter of Edward Sr, & Gloria Mench, she graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1975. She attended Penn State University, Berks Campus to pursue a career in early childhood development. Jeri was actively involved with the Jupiter Medical Center Breast Cancer Support Group, where she was supported and loved by amazing women like herself. She was also a part of the Emmaus & Chrysalis communities and was well grounded in her faith. Her job as an assistant kindergarten teacher enabled her to touch the lives of many children & faculty at Lake Park Elementary School in Lake Park, FL. She is survived by her beloved husband of twelve years, James R. Hill and their two children, Johanna V. Hill,(Student at University of Tampa) age 20 and Tyler J. Hill, age 11, both at home. Jeri is also survived by her mother, Gloria Mench of Jupiter, FL, father, Edward Mench, Sr. as well as her brother, Edward Mench, Jr. both of Laureldale, PA. She was also blessed with a niece, Erica Mench & nephew, Joseph Mench. A memorial service will be held at Zion's (Spies) Evangelical Reformed Church, 318 Spies Church Road, Reading, PA on Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 10:00 AM, the Pastor Merrill R. Marisseau presiding.
