Jennie M. Bukowski

Jennie M. Bukowski, 94, formerly of Shillington and Country Meadows, died January 1, 2008 in ManorCare, Sinking Spring.

Her husband, Stanley E. Bukowski died September 5, 1986.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marie (DeFresco) Scianna.

Jennie was employed by Diener Knitting as a sewing machine operator retiring in 1975.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Jennie was the former secretary of HEAD.

Survivors include three sons, Anthony E., Reading, Ronald S., Spring Township, and Joseph N., Wernersville; and two daughters, Jan M. (Bukowski) Novak, Muhlenberg Township and Phyllis B.(Bukowski) Hoffman, Lower Heidelberg Township.

Jennie is also survived by a brother, Russell Scianna, Reading, and two sisters, Celia Gagliano, Reading, and Rose Braddock, Muhlenberg Township.

Nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Edward J.
