Jeannette M. Ammarell

Jeannette Mae (High) Ammarell, 94, of Muhlenberg Township died May 27, 2012 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the wife of Harry Ammarell who died September 28, 1998.

Born February 8, 1918 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Thomas and Beulah Isabel (Dickey) High.

Jeannette was employed with Rosedale Knitting Mill and Busy Bee for 4 years.

A very active member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Muhlenberg Township, Jeannette sang in the choir and taught Sunday school.

Surviving are her two daughters, Gail Zielin of Setauket, NY and Anne Peters of Clinton, MD.

Other survivors include four grandchildren, Derek, Jill, David and Cathleen; four great grandchildren, Collin, Lily, Miles and Grady and two nieces, Kathy Ammarell and Sandra Kauffman.

Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Good Shepherd U.C.C., 170 Tuckerton Road, Reading, PA 19605. Viewings will be held Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:00 in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale and one hour prior to the service in church. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
