Jeanne Golden Frank

Jeanne Golden Frank of Wyomissing passed away July 1, 2016. Jeanne was born on December 24, 1920 in Columbia, PA to Charles R. Golden, Sr. and Alberta M. (Warfel) Golden.

James Frank met Jeanne when she was in high school, and they dated before and during WWII. She was a Junior Inspector of Aircraft Supplies at the Reading Army Airfield. In that job one day, Jeanne typed Jim's discharge papers, followed immediately by her own resignation notice. They married on May 24, 1945. They had four children, Michael, husband of Denise (Chabot) Frank, Doylestown; Rosemary, wife of William Vitale, Reading; James, husband of Doreen (Andrules) Frank, Lower Alsace Township; and Jeanne, wife of John Wentzel, Oley. They had seven lovely granddaughters (Genevieve, Amelia, Rose, Mary Kate, Jessica, Giovanna and Lillia), one extraordinary great-granddaughter, Charlotte, and one remarkable great-grandson-on-the-way, Benjamin. Jim passed away in 2005. Jeanne was manager of the Windsor Card Shop Muhlenberg for 10 years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 701 Franklin St., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
