Jeanne L. Bitner

Jeanne L. (Richardson) Bitner, 77, Muhlenberg Township, passed away peacefully on Oct. 5, 2006, at home with her family. She was the loving wife of J. Kenneth Bitner, whom she married on Oct. 14, 1950.

Born in Temple, she was a daughter of the late Kolter L. and Ethel G. (Williamson) Richardson.

Prior to her marriage, she worked as a secretary at Travelers Insurance Company, Reading, for 3 years.

Jeanne graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1947.

She was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, Muhlenberg Township.

Jeanne is survived by three daughters: Linda J., wife of Michael Firestone, Muhlenberg Township; Cindy L., wife of Francis O'Neill, Spring Township; and Gayle A., wife of Mark Jacoby, Cumru Township.

There also are six grandchildren: Kristy, Michael, Sara, Kevin, Eric and Jason.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
