Jeanette V. "Eve" Kintzer, 82, of Lincoln Park passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2009.
Born in Orange, NJ., she was the daughter of the late Albert Joseph and Jeanette Greene (Ulrich) Volk.
Eve loved fashion and was noted for her talent as a seamstress and a knitter. She worked in the dress departments of Boscov's and Wanamaker's Department Stores, last working in 1975.
She enjoyed ballroom dancing, crossword puzzles, tending her flower garden and playing gin rummy. She was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.
Eve was predeceased by her first husband, Frederick J. Thomas in 1964 and by her second husband, Walter F. Kintzer in 1983.
She is survived by two daughters: Lisa B., wife of Geoffrey Kurtz of Lititz and Cynthia G. Faust of Mount Penn.
There are also five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
She is also survived by her companion of 23 years, Valentino Rudy Giangiacomo of Pottstown.
Eve was a member of Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, with Rev. Jerry M. McGrath officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
