Jeanette A Grill

Jeanette A. Grill, 93, of Shoemakersville, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, in the care of the Laurel Center. She was the widow of Theodore S. Grill, who passed away in 1999.

Born in Hamburg to the late Howard A. and Dorothy I. (Wink) Snyder, Jeanette graduated from Hamburg High School in 1948. She later graduated from the McCann School of Business in 1966. She worked primarily as a key punch operator for various companies, but her highest priority was always her children. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who worried more for her family's wellness than her own.

Jeanette was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church for many years.

She was also a member of the Hamburg Moose Lodge for more than 50 years.

Left to treasure her memory are her children: Robert G. Ruth Jr., husband of Joanna, of West Lawn; Glenn A. Ruth, husband of Donna, of Hamburg; and Dorothy M. Wagner, wife of Barry, of Shoemakersville; step-son, David K. Grill, husband of Jillian, of Hamburg; grandchildren: David Ruth, Brenda Ruth, and Michael Ruth; Chad Ruth, Jaime Gehres, Crystal Martin, and Teri Potts; and Barry Wagner Jr. and Lori Street; and 25 great grandchildren. Jeanette kept close relationships with her step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren throughout their lives.

In addition to her husband, Ted, Jeanette was predeceased by her son, Bruce H. Ruth; her grandson, Rodney Wagner; and her step-son, Ronald T. Grill.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jeanette's memory may be offered to the St. John's Memorial Fund, at the address below.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 99 Church St, Hamburg, PA 19526, with committal to follow in St. John's Cemetery.
