Jeanette G. Barnett

Jeanette G. (Goss) Barnett, 62, of Cumru Township, died April 24th at 8:55 am in Pottstown Hospital, Montgomery County, where she had been since March 31st.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Fern (Gehris) Goss.

She was a 1960 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and a graduate of McCann's School of Business.

Barnett was employed for 20 years at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center as an assistant to the Chief of Surgery.

She was later employed for 15 years at Pottstown Hospital in Utilization Review, last working February 28, 2004.

Barnett is survived by two daughters, Judy (Barnett) Creps of Hegins, Schuylkill County and Tema R. Barnett of Lower Alsace Township.

Other survivors include a brother, Wesley H. Goss of Temple and a sister, Paulette F. (Goss) Shuker of Muhlenberg Park.

There are also four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton. No public viewing. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, Pa 19605. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
