Jean B. Zielinski, 80, of Mt. Penn, passed away May 10, 2012 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
She was the loving wife of Walter M. Zielinski whom she married October 13, 1955.
Born in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Esther (Lehman) Cuifici.
Jean was a graduate of West Reading High School.
She worked as a cashier for Pomeroy's Department Store, a bookkeeper for her husband's company, Mt. Penn Electric, and was the former co-owner of Second Time Around, a consignment store in Mt. Penn.
Jean was a volunteer for the Women's Exchange.
She was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C. Church, Reading, where she was active in the choir and the helped with the weekly collections.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children: Matthew M., husband of Melissa Zielinski, Raleigh, NC and ZoeAnn, wife of Jamie M. Yousaitis, Reading. Also surviving are her siblings: Jacqui, wife of James Munroe, Lake Wynonah; Nicholas Cuifici, Apple Valley, CA and Janice, wife of Richard Daubert, West Reading. Seven grandchildren: Mark Zielinski, Brian Zielinski, Andrew Zielinski, Bennett Yousaitis, Cameron Yousaitis, Megan Fore and Ryan Fore also survive her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Catharine of Siena R.C. Chapel, 2427 Perkiomen Ave., Reading, PA 19606. A visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. in the chapel. Inurnment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Catharine of Siena R.C. Church at the above address. Edward J.
