Jean Catherine Riegel

Jean Catherine (Eberhart) Riegel, 86, of Exeter Township, died May 1, 2014 in the St. Joseph Medical Center.

She was married September 17, 1944 to James Richard Riegel, who died February 26, 2002.

Born June 17, 1927 in Reading, PA., she was a daughter of the late Daniel W. and Stella (Schell) Eberhart.

Jean was employed 28 years with Lucent Technologies, Muhlenberg Township, before retiring in 1990.

She is survived by a daughter, Cathy J. (Riegel), wife of Robert G. Fry of Exeter Township.

Other survivors include two grandsons; Bradley G., husband of Jennifer R. (Miller) Fry of Chandler, AZ and Brent J., husband of Julie A. (Weller) Fry of Spring Township and five great grandchildren: Payton K. Fry of Chandler, AZ; Kylie A. Fry, Ethan J. Fry, Matthew G. Fry and Katie L. Fry, all of Spring Township.

There are also four siblings surviving: Doris L. (Eberhart), widow of William F. Sailer of Wyomissing, Robert E., husband of Doris (Bossler) Eberhart of Wernersville, Nancy L. (Eberhart), wife of Edward Freeman of Mohnton and Sally A. (Eberhart), wife of Evan LaFollette of Bernville and a sister-in-law, Dolly Eberhart of Bernville.

She was predeceased by five siblings: Joan A. (Eberhart) Lawley, Jerry W. Eberhart, George C. Eberhart, Mary M. Kohler and Donald R. Eberhart.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
