Jean M. (Edmonds) Hamaker Rickenbach, 85, of Richmond Township, passed away June 21, 2014 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
She was predeceased by her two husbands, Charles F. Hamaker in 1966 and David L. Rickenbach in 1999.
Born July 3, 1928 in Hazelton, she was a daughter of the late Harold J. and Ernestine L. (Wolfe) Edmonds.
Jean was a 1946 graduate of Mt. Penn High School.
She was a supervisor for Agere until her retirement.
Jean enjoyed spending time at her winter home in Florida and traveled extensively across the United States.
She is survived by her children: Linda L., wife of Edwin M. Lloyd, Temple; Richard A., husband of Sandra (Semion) Hamaker, Molltown; Robert C., husband of Robin (Sweimler) Hamaker, East Earl; and Susan L., wife of John Bell, Mohnton. Also surviving are her brother, Ellis J., husband of Jacqueline Edmonds, Exeter Township; eight grandchildren; and a large extended family of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and two great danes.
Jean was predeceased by her son, Brian S. Hamaker.
A viewing will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. Graveside Services will follow at Laureldale Cemetery.
