Jean M. Mittl

Jean M. (Spang) Mittl, 77, of Spring Township, died September 5, 2009 at 2:30 a.m. in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the widow of William E. Mittl, Sr., who died May 24, 2001

Born October 5, 1931 in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Hugh E. Spang and Katherine A. (Burke) O'Donnell.

Jean was 1949 graduate of Allentown High School.

She was a member of St. John Baptist De La Salle Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are three children: William E. Mittl, Jr. companion of Sally A. Harding of Leesport, Mary E. (Mittl), wife of Michael Dziamba of Spring Township and Katherine Ann (Kolb) Mittl, companion of David A. Fegley of Temple.

There is also one granddaughter, Margaret E. Dziamba of Spring Township.

Jean was predeceased by two sons, Robert J. Mittl on February 28, 1988 and John M. Mittl on August 3, 2009.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. John Baptist De La Salle R.C. Church, 420 Holland St., Shillington. There will be a visitation held Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Friday morning from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
