Jean L. Mellinger

Jean Lenora (Berg) Mellinger, 83, of Kutztown, died April 6, 2011 in Kutztown Manor.

She was the wife of Roger Kistler Mellinger who died April 29, 1993.

Born May 28, 1927, in Leesport, she was a daughter of the late Warren Clyde Berg and Lilly Lenora (Knoblauch) Berg.

Jean was a 1945 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Jean is survived by two children: Barbara J. (Miller), wife of Frederick F. Glaser Sr., of Exeter Township and Scott S. Miller, Sr., of Temple.

Other survivors include three grandchildren: Scott S. Miller Jr., Lisa Marie Miccicke and Frederick F. Glaser Jr.

There are also three great grandchildren: Shawntel L. Reedy, Christopher L. Miccicke and Lilly L. Clark.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township, with Rev. Thomas F. Irwin, Jr., officiating. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
