Jean Louise (Bittle) Krantz, 82, formerly of East Wessner Road, Blandon, died October 17, 2011 in the Hearthstone at Maidencreek.
She was married January 18, 1947 to Adam "Red" Franklin Krantz, who died May 16, 2009.
Born May 7, 1929 in Reading, PA, she was a daughter of the late Samuel A. and Anna M. (Reber) Bittle.
She was employed as an assembler for 25 years with Western Electric, Muhlenberg Township, retiring in 1990.
Jean was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Muhlenberg Township.
Survivors include a son, Dennis L. Krantz of Temple, PA; three daughters, Linda M. (Krantz) wife of Victor Brussellis of Spring Township; Bonnie L. (Krantz), wife of Warren Miller Jr. of Laureldale; and Pattie J. (Krantz) wife of Danny Diezel of Muhlenberg Township.
She is also survived by two siblings: Reynold Bittle of Muhlenberg Township and Eleanor (Bittle) Duguay of Levittown.
Jean was predeceased by five siblings: Shirley (Bittle) Bossard, Kenneth Bittle, Harold Bittle, Leonard Bittle and Erma Bittle.
There are nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 11:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Viewings will be held Thursday 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Friday 10:30 am until time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
