Jean L. Dunlap

Jean Louise (Fantilli) Dunlap, 78, of West Reading, entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2018, in Reading Hospital.

She was the loving wife of Donald A. Dunlap, who died February 14, 1997.

Born in and a proud lifelong resident of West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Assunta "Susan" (Concordia) Fantilli.

She was a graduate of West Reading High & McCann School of Business ‎

Jean was a legal secretary for an attorney in Reading; she continued her professional career at First Union (formerly American Bank and Core States) for 23 years until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter Susan Dunlap Sarzynski, (wife of Joseph Jr.) of Lower Heidelberg Township, her son David at home and her beloved rescued cat Smokey. She was the proud Nana of Ashleigh Koch (wife of Don) Bel Air, Maryland and Nicole Dunlap, Lakewood Ranch, Florida. She is also survived by her nephew Tony Fantilli (husband of Pat) of Clearwater, FL and her very dear cousin Ann Marie Lincoln of York. PA. Jean was predecased by brothers, John, Joseph & Anthony and sister Dorothy, and her very dear friend Richard "Buck" Williams. ‎

Jean enjoyed family vacations at the shore and gathering around the West Reading Pool with her group of friends. ‎ ‎She loved to go shopping and out to eat with her daughter; she also loved to get dressed up and enjoyed music and dancing. She always had her house decorated beautifully for each season, not only inside, but in her front and back yards. And her family admired her extraordinary gift wrapping skills. Her granddaughters will miss baking Christmas cookies with her and hearing their Nana say, "This song would be good to jitterbug to". She will be dearly missed by her daughter and her entire family.

Services will be private, per Jean's request. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Berks Humane Society, humanepa.org, or any animal rescue organization‎. Edward J.
