Jean Jones

Jean Jones, 94, of Shillington, passed away on October 28, 2024 at Reading Hospital. Born in Shillington to Nathan and Ella (Hertzog) White, she was one of six children. Jean was the loving spouse to Raymond Jones until his passing in 2008.

She was a 1947 graduate of Shillington High School. Jean dedicated her life to managing her household and nurturing her family.

Jean found her greatest joy in the company of babies and children. Her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Always eager to hold a little one, she took on the role of babysitter for all the young ones in her family and she loved every moment of it. Jean was well-loved for her baking, particularly her delightful Christmas cookies that she generously shared with all.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Waradzin, of Shillington, and her son, Richard Jones, of Sinking Spring. Jean will be missed by her grandchildren: Heather Koch (Kerry), Brook Jones (Charlene), Joseph Waradzin, and Amanda Roger (Chris) and her great-grandchildren: Kelly Jones, Nikki Jones, Kayden Koch, Kamron Koch, Kyleigh Koch, Nolan Waradzin, and Carter Roger.

Jean was predeceased by her husband and her son, Michael Jones.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
