Jean I. Heinly

Jean I. Heinly, 86, of Wyomissing, died July 7, 2011 in Country Meadows.

Her husband, Carl E. Heinly, died May 10, 1996.

Born in Tremont, she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Ida (Steily) Schwalm.

Jean was a graduate of Tremont High School.

She enjoyed reading and gardening.

Jean is survived by six children: Carla J., wife of Thomas P. Heckman, Reading; Mary J. Hooks, Georgetown, TX; Sally A., wife of David A. Giles, Wyomissing; Kenneth C. Heinly, Bernville; Jeffrey A., husband of Jennifer Heinly, Laureldale and Amy L., wife of John Sockel, Exeter Township. Also surviving are three siblings: Lyle R., husband of Sandra Schwalm, Langhorne; Jerred Schwalm, Kutztown and Mary Strovinsky, St. Louis, MO. Nine grandchildren, one step granddaughter and thirteen great-grandchildren survive her.

Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
