Jean Ellen Hagerty

Jean Ellen (Barthold) Hagerty, 88, of Wyomissing, died February 3, 2012 in Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of Elwood S. Hagerty who died September 16, 1993.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Jennie (Thort) Barthold.

She was a 1938 graduate of Stroudsburg High School.

Jean was employed as a secretary with various different companies.

She was a member of Advent Lutheran Church, West Lawn.

Jean was a cat lover.

Surviving is a sister, Barbara Anderson of Stroudsburg and three God children, Carl Hagerty, David Lodge and Virginia Killian.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Advent Lutheran Church, 10 Telford Avenue, West Lawn. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in church. Burial will be in Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg.
