Jean W. Eveland

Jean W. (Habecker) Eveland, 92, died April 24, 2017, in her Reading residence.

Her husband, Robert W. Eveland died August 5, 2011.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma Elizabeth (Herring) Habecker.

She was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School.

Jean was a long standing member of Trinity United Methodist Church and attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God.

She was the manager of S&H Green Stamp Store of Muhlenberg Township for 34 years.

Jean is survived by two children, Robert G., husband of Donna J. Eveland, Leesport and Carol J., wife of Stephen S. Goodling, Reading; five grandchildren: Brian Eveland, Tara Deavers, Kylie Walbert, Jason Convry and Vanessa Doaty; and ten great-grandchildren: Jake, Brooke, Evan, Ashlie, Madelyn, Delilah, Blake, Daisy, Violet and Coralynn.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Sinking Spring Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
