Jay Emanuel Pezdirc

Jay Emanuel Pezdirc, 74, of Spring Township, passed away in his residence on Saturday, September 25, 2021. He was the loving husband of Donna R (Heibeck) Pezdirc.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Emanuel and Ethel N. Pezdirc.

Jay was a graduate of Penn State University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in business. He was employed by Procter and Gamble as a sales representative for 29 years, retiring in 2002.

Jay was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading.

Jay enjoyed watching sports, biking, kayaking, skiing, traveling, and trout fishing.

He was a long time Penn State and Reading High School sports fan. Jay played 23 years of organized slow pitch softball; retiring after winning the ASA 35 years and older PA State Championship.

Jay grew up as an Olivet Boys and Girls Club member. He was also a member of the Flying Dutchmen Ski Club where he served on the Board of Directors and was voted the very first "Mr. Flying Dutchman."

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Ryan Pezdirc, Atlanta, GA; two step-daughters: Stephanie Religo, fiancée of Thomas Steigelmann, Sinking Spring, and Rebecca Hoshauer, partner of James Cartin, Longs, SC; one sister: Dawn Medaglia, Wyomissing; one nephew: Larry Medaglia, Wyomissing Hills; one niece: Michelle Edwards, Wyomissing; and four grandchildren: Porter, Charlotte, Bella, and Lily.

Services will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, with burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
