Jay K. Miller

Jay Kepner Miller, 66, died January 15th at 3:16am in his Exeter Township residence.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late John A. and Hilda M. (Kepner) Miller.

He was a 1956 graduate of Mount Penn High School and a 1960 graduate of Albright College, Reading.

Miller worked as a teacher for 10 years, teaching his last 8 years for Daniel Boone High School.

He last worked as a custodian for a number of years at Boscov's Distribution Center, Exeter Township, before retiring in 2000.

Miller was a member of St. James Church, West Reading.

He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly M. (Miller) Coombes of Spring Township and Cynthia R. (Miller) Lawrie of Oil City, Venango County.

There are also six grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 2:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Visitation will be Thursday 1:00 pm until time of service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. James Church, 7th and Penn Avenues, West Reading, Pa 19611 or to American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, Pa 19605.
