Jay Charles Moyer

Jay Charles Moyer, 80 years old, of StoneRidge Retirement Living, Myerstown, PA passed peacefully on July 3 rd at Reading Hospital. Jay was born November 8, 1945 to William A. Moyer and Alice E. (Pannabecker) Moyer.

He attended University of MD and Penn State. He retired from First Energy and was a registered surveyor.

He and Jane enjoyed boating on Blue Marsh Lake and the Chesapeake Bay. They also traveled extensively in their RV. He was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church and volunteered extensively at NEWJOURNEY Community Outreach.

Jay was husband to Jane (Doll) Moyer. He is survived by son Jeffrey and his wife Kim (Erdman) of Candia, NH and son Jeremy and his wife Mary (Iswalt) of Reading; and grandchildren Jamie, Jenna and Meghan. He is also survived by sisters Pamela Helfrich and Kimberly Lutz.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 11AM at West Lawn United Methodist Church, 15 Woodside Ave, Reading, PA 19609. Guests will be received from 10-11AM.
