Jardell W. Yohn Sr., 79, of Kenhorst, died February 24, 2012 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the loving husband of June A. (Cummings) Yohn.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late George E., and Pearl M. (Miller) Yohn.

He was employed for over 30 years as a tin smith for Textile Machine Works, Reading, retiring in 1995.

Jardell loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Robesonia, Mohnton, and Lebanon Valley Rod and Gun Clubs.

He was also a member of Steel Workers of America.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons: Paul A., husband of Bernadette H. Yohn, Shillington; Jardell W., Jr., husband of Fay Yohn, Robesonia; four grandchildren: Douglas, Kelly, Christopher, Ian and three great-grandchildren: Derek, Molly and Lily. Also surviving is his beloved dog, Miriah.

Jardell was predeceased by his brothers, Lester E. Yohn and George F. Yohn.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. A viewing will be 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League, P.O.
