Janis B. Zweizig

Janis B. Zweizig, 95, of Reading, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on January 16, 2024. Born in Shillington, she was the daughter of Ralph S. and Florence M. (Broskey) Boltz. Janis was the loving wife of M. Leroy Zweizig, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage until his passing in 2014.

Janis was a 1945 graduate of Shillington High School, where she served as class secretary and participated in many school events. Following high school, Janis enrolled in the Reading Business Institute. In her career, she had specialized as an administrator in several stock market companies, including Morgan Stanley.

Cooking for her family, dining out in local restaurants, and connecting with friends and family were among Janis's favorite things to do. She loved her home and the entertaining, social gatherings that she held within it. Janis had many friends who she cherished and kept in touch with. She and her lifelong friends enjoyed many summer trips to the Jersey Shore.

Janis was surrounded by a large, loving family, including her daughter, Jennifer J. Zweizig, of Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Zachary R. Zweizig, of Florida, and Hannah A. Olexa, of Delaware; her great granddaughter, Chloe Olexa; and her sister-in-law, BJ Geiger of Wernersville.

In addition to her husband, Janis was predeceased by her son, Jonathan L. Zweizig and her brother, Wilbur Boltz.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
