Jane L. Williams, 93, of Wyomissing, died May 22, 2012 in The Highlands at Wyomissing.
She was the wife of the late Frederick J. Williams, D.D.S.
Born January 7, 1919 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Fred H. and Irene R. (Fidler) Ludwig.
Jane was a 1935 graduate of Wyomissing High School and a 1939 graduate of Randolph Macon Women's College, Lynchburg, VA, graduating with a B.A.
Jane was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.
She was a Vice President of the Junior League of Reading and was a President of the Home For Widow's and Single Women of Reading.
Jane also served on various boards, including the Berks Visiting Nurses Association, the Red Cross, the Lutheran Home at Topton and the Reading Hospital Women's Board.
An avid bridge player with a sharp mind, she had a reputation as an excellent cook. She continued to be very involved in the lives of her loving family.
Surviving is a daughter, Lynda W., widow of James H. Kunkelman of Wyomissing.
Other survivors include two grandchildren, Kathryn K., wife of John A. Harenza of Wyomissing and James H. III, husband of Marcie (Wademan) Kunkelman of Wyomissing and three great grandchildren: Madeline Harenza, Elizabeth Harenza and Molly Kunkelman.
Jane was predeceased by a brother, T. Merritt Ludwig.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 31st at 11:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Entombement will be in Charles Evans Mausoleum, Reading.
