Jane M. Snyder

Jane Marie (Chelius) Snyder, 85, formerly of Flying Hills died of natural causes March 20th at 5:20pm in her Exeter Township residence.

She was the wife of LeRoy G. Snyder.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Mary L. (Kerr) Chelius.

She was a 1938 graduate of St. Peter's High School, Reading.

Snyder was a member of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Plowville.

She was employed 20 years as an office manager at Billman & Company, Reading, retiring in 1970.

Snyder is also survived by two sons, Thomas L. of Cherry Hill, New Jersey and James M. of Cumru Township.

Other survivors include two sisters, Josephine A. Chelius and Teresa A. (Chelius) Boylan both of Wyomissing.

There are also three grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Leo J. "Bud" Chelius.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 am in St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton, Pa 19540. Fr. Philip F. Rodgers celebrating. Viewings Thursday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading and Friday morning 10:30 - 11:00 am in the church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
