Jane Adams Leiby, 88, of Wernersville, died July 2, 2009 in Phoebe Berks, Wernersville.

She was the widow of Rev. Stanley Butler Leiby, who died May 9, 2001.

Born February 19, 1921 in Mifflintown, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Donald Quincy and Isabel (Kauffman) Adams.

Jane was a graduate of Juniata High School and Westminster College, Westminster, PA, where she received a bachelor's degree in Education.

She was employed as a teacher for both Juniata County School District as well as Easton Area School District.

Jane was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale.

Surviving are three sons, Richard A., husband of Brenda D (Helm) Leiby of Muhlenberg Township; John S., husband of Virginia W. (Whitney) Leiby of Deering, NH and Dr. David A., husband of Vanessa M. (Murchake) Leiby of Damascus, MD.

In addition there is a brother, Donald, husband of Peggy Adams of Port Royal, Juniata County.

Other survivors include eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Jane was predeceased by a brother, James Adams.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 11, at 11 a.m. in Rosedale United Church of Christ, 1301 E. Bellevue Avenue, Laureldale, PA 19605.
