Jane M. (Woodcock) Kramer, 80, passed away February 16, 2017, in her Lower Heidelberg Township residence.
She was the wife of Ted C. Kramer.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Crawford) Woodcock.
Jane was a graduate of Frankford High School, Philadelphia; Kutztown University where she earned a bachelor's degree and Temple University earning a master's degree in Guidance.
Jane worked as a guidance counselor for 25 years. She was employed by Brandywine Heights High School, Conrad Weiser High School and last working at Governor Mifflin High School, retiring in 1992.
Jane counselled hundreds of students over her career working in the schools. Many of these students remained in contact with her as a friend and mentor.
Jane was proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed her trip to Ireland several years ago; she did not have hobbies as such, but loved people, animals, sports, laughter, and hugs. Jane spent countless hours exploring alternative methods of dealing with health issues. Many of her ideas have helped people deal with their own.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sinking Spring.
Jane and her hugs will be truly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons: Roger A., husband of Angela Kramer, Hellam; and Robb A. Kramer, partner to Paloma Soledad, Brooklyn, NY; and her brother, Thomas, husband of Peggy Woodcock, Lancaster. Two nieces: Corrine, wife of Curtis Topper; and Megan, wife of Andrew Weiss; two nephews: David Kramer; and Tim, husband of Becky Kramer; and one brother-in-law, Bruce Kramer also survive her.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 26, 2017, at 2:00 p.m at the The Inn at Reading in Wyomissing. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
