Jane L. Huckleberry, 80, of the Sencit Townhouse Apartments, Cumru Township, died Dec. 31 in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient since Dec. 23.
Her husband, Edgar J. Huckleberry Sr., died July 31, 1998.
Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Roland and Marie (Moter) Russell.
Huckleberry had been employed for 14 years as office manager for Malick & Kleiner, West Reading, retiring in 1984. She previously worked in the same capacity for the Women's Clinic, West Reading, for 10 years.
She had also been employed as a laborer by Mack Associates Employment Services, Sinking Spring, after her retirement.
Huckleberry was a 1942 graduate of Wilson High School.
She was a Navy WAVES veteran of World War II.
Huckleberry was a volunteer with the Berks County Office of Aging, Reading, and served as past secretary for the local chapter of the National Secretaries Society.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynne M. (Huckleberry) Hartman, Wyomissing; and two sons, James R., Roanoke, Va., and Edgar J. Jr., Reading.
There are also six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
