James E. Wenz

James E. Wenz, Sr., 83, of Laureldale, died October 25, 2011 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.

He was the husband of the late Pauline A. (Frankhouser) Wenz.

Born June 14, 1928 in Shoemakersville, he was a son of the late Mark and Maude Wenz.

James was self-employed as a painting and sandblasting contractor.

He followed the Rising Sun Sunners softball team for many years.

Surviving is a son, Terry L., husband of Donna L. Wenz of Maidencreek Township, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

James was predeceased by a son, James E. Wenz, Jr. and a granddaughter, Rachel L. Wenz.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown.
