James W. Fidler

James Warren Fidler, 79, of West Reading, died October 4, 2007 in the Reading Hospital. He was taken from the Mifflin Center, Cumru Township, where he had been a patient since June.

He was the widower of Geraldine M. (Gentile) Fidler.

Born August 28, 1928 in West Reading, he was a son of the late George W. and Mary (Seltzer) Fidler.

He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, West Reading.

James was employed 35 years in the Track Department with Reading Railroad Company, retiring in 1970.

He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

James was a member of the Sinking Spring Fire Company.

He is survived by a sister, Laura May (Fidler) Moore of Reading.

Other survivors include a niece and two nephews.

James was predeceased by a brother, Robert D. Fidler.

Services will be held Today at 10:30 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, with the Rev. Abera Hellemo officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Sinking Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, 336 Franklin St., West Reading, PA 19611.
