James Skoufalos

James Skoufalos

James Skoufalos, Sr., 75, has gone onto eternal life on August 18, 2010. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in his Birdsboro residence.

His wife, Mary (Xavios) Skoufalos, died October 31, 2007.

Born in Reading he was the son of Dorothy (Lecatsas) Skoufalos Kreisher, Wyomissing and the late George Skoufalos.

James was a 1952 graduate of Wilson High School.

He was employed for 23 years as Vice President in charge of sales with Hardesty Quittner, Sinking Spring until 1980. He was later employed as President of Sales with Hi Products, a division of Hofmann Industries, until his retirement in 1999.

James was the vocalist and band leader of The Townsman East Band for 25 years.

He was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, where he was a parish council president for one year.

James is survived by three sons George, Reading, James Jr., Exeter Township and Michael, Port Carbon; and two daughters Gina Graham, and Nicole Stephenson, both of Exeter Township. One sister, Georgine Schlappich, West Wyomissing; five grandchildren, Chileen, Melissa, Jennifer, Michael and Carlie; and one great-granddaughter, Tessa also survive him.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Sts. Constantine & Helen Church, 1001 E. Wyomissing Blvd., Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church at the above address. Edward J.
