James Rucco

James Rucco, 88, formerly of Colony Park and Flying Hills passed away September 15, 2008 in Phoebe Berks Health Care Center.

His wife, Shirley P. (Yoder) Rucco died on December 29, 2004.

Born in Pittston, Luzerne County, he was a son of the late Margaret (Bone) Rucco- Lyons and Michael Rucco.

James was a 1938 graduate of Pittston High School.

He was an Army veteran of WWII.

James was employed for 31 Years by the Pennsylvania State Police Department as a Corporal, head of records and identification retiring on December 31, 1977. He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.

James is survived by a son Brian L. Rucco, New York City and a daughter, Beverly A., wife of Robert Hay, Mount Pocono.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
