James Richard Itin

James R. Itin passed away on March 2, 2021, at The Highlands in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.

James was born in Batavia, Ohio in 1933 and grew up in Newtown, a suburb of Cincinnati,

Ohio. He graduated from Terrace Park High School in Cincinnati and from Kent State

University in Kent, Ohio.

After serving in the United States Army for two years, James became a Certified Public

Accountant and went on to hold a series of investment banking, financial management, and

general management positions of increasing importance. He retired from Gilbert Associates of

Reading, Pennsylvania in the 1990s.

James was a long-time member and trustee of the First Presbyterian Church of Reading (now

Park Road Presbyterian Church).

James was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan

P. Itin, and his son, James M. Itin. He is survived by his son, Robert G. Itin (Mary Garrett) of

Berwyn, Pennsylvania; his daughter, Mary Elisabeth Kors (Robert) of Pacific Palisades,

California; and his four grandchildren, Annie Kors, Matthew Kors, Laura Kors, and Grant Itin.

Funeral arrangements will be handled by Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. A memorial service will be held at Park Road Presbyterian Church, 1045 N. Park Road, Wyomissing, PA, 19610, at a future date to be announced. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers charitable contributions be sent to Park Road Presbyterian Church.
