James M. Reid

James M. Reid, 67, Cumru Township, died of natural causes July 28 in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient 26 days.

His wife, Mary Anne (Feeney) Reid, died March 26, 1989.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, he was a son of the late Robert and Cristina (Graham) Reid.

Reid was employed for 27 years as a machinist by Hofmann Industries Inc., Sinking Spring, retiring in 1999.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Surviving is a daughter, Deirdre A. (Reid) Fighera, Abington, Montgomery County.

Other survivors include two brothers, John, Manchester, England, and Robert, in England; and two sisters, Maura (Reid) Healey, Dublin, Ireland, and Ina (Reid) Taffe, in Australia.

There is also a granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m at the Funeral Home on Monday. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
